5 Different Ways Technology Can Turn Us Into Super Humans

T he current world is sifting through a technological revolution with inventions of gadgets and products that mark the coming of an entirely fresh technology era. It is already inevitable with the new inventions in this high technology world that humans are marching forward with life changing innovations almost every day.

Scientists are working on technologies that will not only benefit us in some way but will also implement wonders. The advancements in the technology in the near future will make human beings close to invincible and many times powerful than what we currently are.

Lets look into some of the real wonders of the revolutionized technology that we have today.:(

 CYBER WAVE

The aesthetic replacement of broken limbs have been in implementation since decades. The core issue with that method was simply the fact that the replaced limb was non-functional of course. However, that’s no longer an issue when we have Cyber ware.

The cyber ware replacements are closest to the original configuration. Alongside with the use of various brain interfacing techniques, cyber ware technology makes it possible to implement the normal and natural functionality of the limbs. Research is being carried out to provide the patient to have feelings of what they are interacting with.

BRAIN COMPUTER INTERFACE (BCI)

Brain Computer Interface (BCI) of mind machine interface (MMI) is a communication link between the human brain and an external device. The realm of science fiction writers has actually turned into reality now. The core concept behind BCI is to enhance the mental and physical abilities of human beings by controlling the signaling done by neurons inside the brain.

Whenever we think, feel or remember something, our neurons sends some particular signals. The BCI devices are capable of sending such signals to the brain. For example, there is a particular signal sent when we see the color blue, and by explicitly sending that signal to the brain using BCI device, we can make the brain believe that we saw the color blue.

This phenomenon sure is interesting as it finds its many applications in various fields like health care, consumer electronics and military. Most of the major BCI applications are bringing sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf and the return of normal functionality to the physically impaired. Continuous research is being carried out so as to efficiently implement these applications.

 BRAIN PRESERVATION

The process of storing the human brain for long term basis is known as brain preservation. Generally there are two methods for doing that. One is known as Cryonics, in which the brain needs to be stored at liquid nitrogen temperature. The other is the use of various chemicals to preserve certain brain tissues.

It is currently impossible to retain all the contents of the brain using any of the above mentioned methods. However, researchers are working on a method that would preserve the contents of brain for over 100 years.

 SYNTHETIC BODIES

Science has been in the development of artificial functioning human parts for many years. Now, we have functioning replacements of eyes, ears, and even heart. Synthetic body is the concept of a human body that is entirely made up of these engineered parts i.e. all the various parts in the body are replaced by artificial ones, even brain and there is nothing left original.

Scientists have continuously been working on the various implementations of body parts and have been using animals for testing purposes. They claim that they will be able to implement a functioning human brain within ten years. With the most complex body part implemented, synthetic bodies will turn out to be a reality and not just a concept.

 MIND UPLOADING

Yes that is the same as the concept of file uploading, just that now you’ll be able to upload your brain on a storage media. Scientists are of the opinion that by 2040, we will be able to actually upload the contents of our human brain to a computer. But why? For backup maybe.

Uploading the brain isn’t however as simple as it sounds, because the organization of data in our brain cannot be simply implemented with any currently data structures that we have. Also, the space occupied by a human brain might be several Terra Bytes! However, these confusions will soon be cleared by the confident neuro scientists who will be done with the implementation of this technology within 30 years, they say.
